Wattmon MEGA is a full featured data logging and control device. This model has several I/O lines on-board, making it easy to develop intelligent machine automation applications in addition to performing data logging.
Wattmon is a versatile platform which can be configured for countless applications. The inbuilt web server provides all of the tools necessary to customize the device. No programming is required to set up actions based on various triggers, which can control I/O lines, send emails and more.
Modbus RTU (RS-485)
An RS-485 Modbus RTU interface is built in and Wattmon acts as a Modbus master to collect data from various devices such as inverters, power meters, current sensors, etc.
RS-232 Serial Port
Connect to legacy inverters or custom hardware using the RS-232 port
Digital Inputs
Connect up to 4 digital inputs (25V Max DC) and read the status of switches or other contact or potential free sensors. Digital inputs could be used with external adapters (12V) to determine power availability of various power sources.
Digital Outputs
The device has 4 digital outputs that can be used to power relays or LEDs, connected in a common-collector type arrangement. Additionally, Wattmon MEGA has an onboard relay that can be used to power a load of up to 8A AC or DC.
Analog Inputs
The supply voltage (Vin), a high voltage DC input (up to 300V DC) and a 0-5V input can be connected and used. The 5V input is perfect for hooking up pyranometers directly to the device.
1-Wire Input
A 1-Wire bus is also provided that can hook up to multiple DS18B20 temperature sensors to monitor ambient temperature, panel temperature or for any other application.
Wattmon MEGA is classified as a device for Industrial use. The device complies with the following standards:
IEC-61000-4-2 - Electrostatic Discharge
IEC-61000-4-4 - EFT Immunity - 1kV
IEC 61000-4-5 - EMC Immunity - 1kV
CISPR 32 Class A - Conducted Emission
